28th July: Enthusiasts Welcome

Local enthusiasts and supporters are manning a desk at the Sea Terminal to greet visitors

30th July: Steam Day in Douglas

(D) Locomotive in steam will be available at Douglas station for footplate photo opportunities

Loco available 09:30 – 16:00


(R) Timetabled 11:50 out of Douglas will be banked with a turned loco

Train will be split at Port Soderick, with 5 carriages continuing onto Port Erin as scheduled and 2 carriages will be returning to Douglas with the turned loco

(B) Evening Buffet at Snaefell

Enjoy a trip up the Snaefell Mountain Railway, a unique Victorian enterprise which winds its way up above 2,000 feet to the top of Snaefell, where you will be greeted by breathtaking views before dinner

Unusual motors and trailers scheduled on the regular service

These include Tramcar No. 1 Dating from 1893, Car 1 is the oldest electric tramcar still operating regular passenger service in the World, a fact recorded in the Guinness Book of Records

 

Other trailers available include No. 59 the ‘Royal Saloon’ named so after carrying Edward VII and Queen Alexandra during 1902, Trailer No. 16 in National Livery and No. 51 our small bulkhead trailer

No. 33 with two trailers will be running the scheduled 10:10 service from Derby Castle and the 16:10 service from Ramsey
